Visitors will probably notice that this site is now loading much faster than before. After tons of reaseach, I have moved my site over to Engine Hosting. I have to say, I'm quite pleased so far. Not only is my site blazing now, but EngineHosting has great responsive customer service.
Those with MySQL / PHP blogs really owe it to themselves to get a load balanced / optimized web host so that no matter what the traffic to your site and to others sites the server, things won't slow down.
Another good load-balanced host is Media Temple but I've read a few posts complaining a bit about their customer service and some performance issues with their shared hosting (gs) Grid-Service. Depending on your requirements, they could also be a bit more expensive per month than EngineHosting.
I was previously with IXWebhosting and have to say that my experience with them was less than acceptable and in fact, horrible. Their servers would slow way down every few days, rendering my site extremely slow and at times, even not accessible. IXWebhosting's customer support is also quite lacking.
